I always prefer capsules for all kind of medicine I take. Capsules are more tasteless and easier to swallow, what is more, tablets irritate my stomach. But it's me, some people prefer tablets.

Phentermine is sold both in capsules and tablets. The best form is the one you like the most. The only difference between these two forms is the recommended dosage. For capsules these are 15 mg, 30 mg and 37.5 mg. For tablets these dosages are 18.75 mg (1/2 pill) and 37.5 mg (1 pill). Both capsules and tablets are suggested being taken one time a day in the morning. Sometimes healthcare provider suggests patients taking half a pill two times a day. This can help to control your appetite. But it can also increase the risk of insomnia development.

It’s important to talk to your doctor before you decide to go on with phentermine. If you don’t want to develop any side effects ask your doctor to prescribe phentermine to you. Don’t take this drug without a prescription. Also carefully read all the precautions and warnings to avoid severe side effects and drug addiction.

Hi ms Susan, you have the same experience with my sister. She hates tablets at all.

I take the capsules personally and didn't know there was a choice of tablet or capsule on the 37.5 strength. I take most everything in capsule form as it seems to go down easier and I agree capsules do not leave the aftertaste of chalk of the bitter taste that you get from the pills on most medications.
