Default Acomplia Diet Pills

Acomplia Withdrawn from U.S. and European Markets

If you use a search engine to find Acomplia, the brand name for generic Rimonabant, you will find more promotional material and dated news stories than you will find cold, hard, up-to-date facts about the weight-loss medication. Unless you look carefully, aggressively, knowing exactly which keywords to follow, your search may seduce you into believing Acomplia still owns the distinction of best weight-loss drug ever. That belief could lead to a series of tragic mistakes and extremely unfortunate events.

In 2007, after the Food and Drug Administration refused Acomplia’s approval for distribution in the United States, European review panels re-examined the research on the drug’s safety and effectiveness, ultimately withdrawing their certification, too. If you find Acomplia for sale through an internet pharmacy or a broker on eBay, do not order it, because the risks considerably outweigh the benefits. Other short-term weight-loss prescriptions will yield nearly Acomplia’s benefits without the considerable risk of side effects.

a checkered history of success and risk

Acomplia, an “Endocannsbinoid System controller” or appetite suppressant achieved genuinely amazing results not only as a weight-loss treatment but also as a tool for smoking cessation. For overweight smokers, Acomplia seemed like the miracle of “miracle drugs,” because it helped them quit smoking without gaining weight. In one double-blind study over a two-year period, 88% of Acomplia users achieved their ideal weight and body mass index. Citing the drug’s powerful appetite suppressant properties, most of the study participants reported they maintained their low-fat diets and exercise programs as long as they stayed on their medication.

Originally developed specifically for treatment of morbidly obese diabetics who also had significant risk of heart disease, Acomplia easily won approval throughout Europe and Latin America, and the North American “buzz” promised to drive its sales beyond the manufacturer’s and Wall Street’s wildest expectations. On the eve of Acomplia’s approval by the FDA, a prestigious review panel expressed grave reservations about the drug’s safety. Their research suggested that one in four Acomplia users experienced moderate to severe symptoms of clinical depression. Contributing to the panel’s strong recommendation against FDA approval, the data revealed more than half of the patients suffering drug-induced depression had persistent “suicidal ideation,” and 10% of those who experienced suicidal thoughts acted on them. Breathing a collective sigh of relief, the panel reported no fatalities.

Acomplia’s manufacturer voluntarily withdrew the drug from worldwide markets, fearing that another round of trials would inflict more damage on public perception and further drive down share prices. After the voluntary recall, Sanofi Aventis, Acomplia’s manufacturer, managed to regain its pre-eminence among European drug companies, and it rose in American sales rankings to number consistently among the top five.

One study participant, who spoke on condition of anonymity, gave a poignant description of Acomplia’s psychological side effects. “I clearly understood that I was taking the drug so that I could lose weight quickly and easily. I clearly understood that it was working, and I think Acomplia sometimes boosted my energy to the point where I would exercise more and better than if I had not taken it. Yet for all the time I took the medication, I thought constantly about killing myself, saying to myself, ‘You are just too fat and ugly to live’. As soon as I withdrew from Acomplia, all my depressive symptoms vanished just as quickly as they had developed.”

I don't really believe in this drug. Thank god I wasn't one of the first people to take this drug. As far as I know this was withdrawn quickly at the market but was later got back again with another name, Zimulti. Most people say they're less hungry and that's it. The rest was horrible because of its psychological effects to them.

Default My views about Acomplia.
You know, I think this drug is alright only when it comes to its physical effects on your body for losing weight. What's really bad about this drug is that is so depressing. I've heard many people say negative and positive things about it, you can't really expect anything not to be criticized of course. But you will notice that its psychological effects won't be excluded in people experiences. Some of them even became suicidal and almost everyone who took the drug became so depressed when they continued using it.

Default New Risky Wave In Fat Burning Meds

Treating with different fat-burning pills and supplements, have you ever thought about their manufacture, how much money do the spent every year and how much get on sales? I’ve been always interesting this question. And not long ago I’ve found an interesting article, where experts claimed that fat-burning drugs maybe risky not only for patients’ who treats with, but rather high risky for investors, who used to make money on this.

Researches from Arena Pharmaceutics have found a new drug APD356, which allows people to get rid of 2.9 pounds only for 28 days. It is interesting, that these new pills are differing from popular drug supplements such as fen-phen and don’t contain fenfluramine and phentermine. As far as I remember, fenfluramine was withdrawn from the market for its illegacy. As it increases the serotonin level in the brain thus reducing appetite, and at the same time it killed more brain receptors than was necessary.

Besides specialist from Arena claimed that intake of fen-phen’s damaging heart valve.

Telling the truth, it was hard to believe that Arena – the seller only of sleeping pills, could withstand rigid competition and prove its unicity to potential investors. But still, the other days, Arena has signed up a deal with Johnson & Johnson and this is no less no more $317 million for further development of diabetes meds.

So, any person will have its own point of view to this problem. I’ve read an interesting suggestion of one of the specialist, who is working on Acomplia development – very popular diet supplement today. And he agrees that Arena pills are promising but something scaring him.

This year Acomplia will get FDA attestation. The drugs will fight not only with obesity but also with smoking addiction, it raises good cholesterol level, reduces the risk of heart disease. Predicted annual sales of Acomplia are $5 billion or more. The only unpleasant thing, it’s that Acomlia, like well known Lipitor causes addiction.

I want to believe that new APD356 drugs will be effective and live for long, but not like such popular drugs as Meridia and Xenical, which were withdrawn from the diet market for their side effects.

Many of the medications that are out there for weight loss have the depression effects as I call them, they work on the part of the brain where the moods are mainly dealt with.

It's a decent drug for people whose bodies can tolerate it but be forewarned that it doesn't only affect your psyche but can also trigger somatic problems."
